today! Networking and support for all women in the mental health professions Our Mission Minnesota Women in Psychology is committed to furthering the psychological, social, and emotional well being of women in the mental health profession.

The project represents a unique approach to research by using a gender-race-place-equity lens. It s over 40 other Women in Film chapters with 10, global members.

Researching minnesota women

To this end, we conduct ongoing research to quantify and analyze barriers to gender and racial equity for women and girls in Minnesota. Our goals are to educate, empower, engage, and support women in these industries.

More than experts from academia, government, nonprofit and private sectors, elected bodies and philanthropy participated in working groups and reviewed data on women and girls in Minnesota to identify the key issues outlined in the research, and proffer solutions. Through the research, a baseline is provided for measuring where to apply needed interventions and benchmark the continued progress on the road to economic, political and social equality for all women and girls in Minnesota.

The Foundation shares the research statewide through community listening sessions, including presentations and focus groups. Encourage and promote mentor services among women in psychological professions, including graduate and undergraduate students.

Locally we are a growing, all-volunteer, c 3 non-profit organization comprised of members who work in film, television, and new media in Minnesota. Promote informed use of psychological services among women consumers. Be informed on issues of concern to and concerning women, including legislative issues.

Provide informational and skill-building programs. Our Purpose Develop network and support group systems. Encourage women in psychological professions to participate in professional organizations, committees, presentations, leadership positions.

Status of Women and Girls Resources It will do this by promoting the professional development of women in psychological professions, informing members about ideas and issues that affect women, developing network and support group systems, and taking action in the best interest of Minnesota women. Annually, data specific to Minnesota women and girls has been gathered, analyzed, and published in economics, safety, health, and leadership.

Share knowledge, research, skill, and employment information. Share with other psychological professions our awareness of special principles and competencies in counseling women.
